I hate when, in The Simpsons, Homer is painted as a hero or a good father for fixing a problem he started. Or worse, those episodes with Lisa where she is painted as the bad one, as if she's overreacting when she has such an awful man for a father.
The writers did the same with Bart, especially in that episode where he destroys a project Lisa worked so hard on and he then justifies himself, and it's LISA who apologizes!
Misogyny is not just slurs (which are not even recognized as such) and hitting women into submission. It's also assuming every woman is in the wrong for virtue of being a woman, and the man is victim of her 'condition'. This is a much subtle but equally bad aspect of misogyny, and it showcases how every man is misogynistic, and every woman has been brainwashed into replicating such behaviors and mindsets.
